Encaustic Art

Beautiful images are created using coloured waxes and heat. Each picture is impossible to replicate as every painting develops from the images made on the first few strokes of a heated craft iron.

Fantasy designs often include stamps to make the colours really stand out. Water scenes and landscapes are popular, usually without an additional stamp, but easily added if requested.

The finished painting is polished and set with a protective coating to stabilise the wax. No image can be reproduced exactly although similar styles can be made to create a collection. For example, a set of three fantasy paintings could depict a dragon, Pegasus and unicorn with the same colour theme background.

Aperture cards start from £3.00 and include a plain insert and envelope.

Framed painting prices are from £12.00 for A6. Other sizes are available on request.
